CGI is seeking a Data Center Migration Consultant to support a major enterprise infrastructure and technology transformation. This role will work as part of a team responsible for coordinating data center migration, hosting modernization, infrastructure provisioning, resiliency, and technology risk initiatives across a complex enterprise environment.

Working under the direction of senior infrastructure and transformation leadership, you will help coordinate the activities required to migrate applications and infrastructure between data center and hosting environments, track dependencies and risks, and support execution across infrastructure, application, cloud, network, security, risk, and business teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career technology professional to gain hands-on exposure to large-scale data center and infrastructure transformation. You will develop experience across data center migration, cloud and hosting environments, infrastructure resiliency, automation, governance, and enterprise technology delivery while working alongside experienced infrastructure and technology professionals.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Data Center Migration & Infrastructure Delivery
Support planning and execution of data center migration activities, including application, server, platform, and infrastructure migration workstreams.
Coordinate migration activities across infrastructure, application, network, cloud, security, database, storage, and business teams.
Assist with migration readiness activities by tracking prerequisites, dependencies, milestones, testing requirements, cutover activities, and post-migration validation.
Maintain migration plans, trackers, documentation, and status reporting to provide visibility into migration progress and upcoming activities.
Support coordination of migration waves and help ensure technical and business stakeholders are prepared for scheduled migration events.
Track migration issues and blockers and escalate risks that could impact delivery timelines or business operations.

Hosting, Cloud & Infrastructure Modernization
Support initiatives involving data center, cloud, and hybrid hosting environments as the organization modernizes its enterprise infrastructure.
Coordinate infrastructure requirements and provisioning activities needed to support application migrations and new hosting environments.
Work with infrastructure and platform teams to track server, compute, storage, network, security, and other hosting dependencies.
Gain exposure to modern infrastructure technologies and practices, including cloud platforms, containerization, infrastructure automation, and self-service provisioning.
Support efforts to transition legacy infrastructure and manual processes toward standardized and automated hosting solutions.

Resiliency, Risk & Governance
Support infrastructure resiliency and business continuity initiatives by tracking requirements, dependencies, testing activities, and remediation items.
Assist with governance activities across infrastructure transformation workstreams, including maintaining risks, issues, actions, and decisions.
Help ensure migration and infrastructure activities follow established enterprise technology, security, risk, and control processes.
Maintain accurate project documentation and supporting evidence for governance, risk, compliance, and audit requirements.
Assist senior team members with identifying and escalating technology risks, delivery dependencies, and control gaps.

Transformation Coordination & Reporting
Serve as a coordination point between technical teams, project leadership, vendors, and business stakeholders throughout the migration lifecycle.
Support regular migration and infrastructure governance meetings by preparing status updates, tracking actions, and following up with responsible teams.
Develop dashboards, reports, and other materials that provide visibility into migration progress, risks, dependencies, and upcoming milestones.
Support senior infrastructure leadership with information needed for program and executive-level reporting.
Help identify opportunities to improve migration processes, documentation, automation, and overall delivery efficiency.

Professional Development
Build working knowledge of enterprise data center operations, hosting platforms, cloud technologies, infrastructure resiliency, and migration methodologies.
Develop an understanding of how infrastructure, application, security, risk, and business teams work together during large-scale technology transformations.
Learn enterprise governance, technology risk, and infrastructure control processes within a complex and regulated environment.
Participate in mentorship and knowledge-sharing with experienced infrastructure, platform, and technology transformation professionals.
Take increasing ownership of migration workstreams and deliverables as technical knowledge and experience develop.
