What You'll Do as a Truck Body Welding & Assembly Technician

• Assemble aluminum truck bodies and subassemblies for custom and standard truck body applications.
• Weld aluminum components using pulsed MIG welding techniques to create strong, high-quality assemblies.
• Install hardware and mechanical fasteners using hand tools and other equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to accurately build and assemble truck body components.
• Measure and fit components using measuring tools and basic math to ensure proper alignment and assembly.
• Operate production machinery, equipment, and overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while meeting quality and craftsmanship standards.

Our Ideal Truck Body Welding & Assembly Technician

• Experienced Aluminum MIG Welder: At least 1 year of pulsed aluminum MIG welding experience; aluminum TIG welding skills are a plus.
• Mechanically Skilled: Confident using hand tools and metalworking equipment to assemble and fabricate aluminum components.
• Accurate & Detail-Oriented: Able to read engineering drawings, take precise measurements, and use basic math to produce quality work.
• Technically Capable: Comfortable using basic computer applications and learning to operate production machinery and equipment.
• Safety-Conscious: Committed to safe work practices and physically capable of performing hands-on welding and assembly tasks.
• Team-Oriented & Dependable: Take initiative, work hard, respect your teammates, and share our commitment to quality craftsmanship.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 1 year of pulsed aluminum MIG welding experience
• Aluminum TIG welding skills are a plus
• Metalworking experience is a plus
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer applications
